Engagement Details
Members of the Cirrus team were engaged to join the business for a period of 6 months to work with 3 divisions to manage the delivery of a failing digital transformation and dashboarding project that had been in existence for 2 years prior, and had made little headway.
The project was for the Claims and Assessing (C&A) Division (2nd largest division of the business) and was to enable the finance team to deliver improved insights and analytics to C&A through self service reporting and dashboards.
As part of this engagement we
- Undertake detailed business requirements gathering
- Review existing reporting and consolidated into coherent dashboard suite, also integrating any new requirements into the suite.
- Undertake data review and commence ingestion into the data warehouse of data sets
- Complete modelled data sets to design consolidated dashboard suite
- Design, implement and deliver dashboards to the business
- Undertake all project management activities including scope, schedule, risks, resourcing and change.
Key Client Outcomes
To complete this, a project team of 10 (including 3 direct reports) was established and worked closely with the Data Analytics Team, Finance and C&A to develop detailed requirements, ingest substantial data from 4 systems into the data warehouse and design and implement dashboards across the division.
Additionally, we brought experience from other digital transformation projects to build a structure, and proposed capability for improved analytics and dashboards as the business matures, This included more effective KPIs and performance measures as well as a operational indicators.
On completion of the project (which was impacted by COVID-19) the business had ingested all of its primary data into a new data warehouse, modeled several primary data sets, and established a suite of 10 dashboards (with scope for more) to be utilized by the business – including senior executives.
